Jennifer Hudson is using pop culture’s grandest stage, the Super Bowl,to make her return to the spotlight following the murders of her mother, brother and 7-year-old nephew. Jennifer hasn’t made a public appearance since her 57-year-old mother, Darnell Hudson Donerson; 29-year-old brother Jason Hudson; and 7-year-old nephew Julian King were slain in Chicago in October.
Jennifer, who released her self-titled debut album shortly before the murders, is also scheduled to sing at the Grammys’ MusiCares event in Los Angeles. She is nominated for four awards at the February 8 Grammy Awards.
Jennifer already has an Oscar to her credit, a best supporting actress win for her role in "Dreamgirls." Her career was continuing its skyrocketing rise, with featured roles in movies like "Sex and the City" and "The Secret Life of Bees," as well as her new album release, when the murders occurred.

Thursday 8 January: Today I'm grateful for good health and knowing it will only improve as I continue my weight loss efforts.

Sunday, 11 January: Today I'm grateful for Marigold, and his awesome willingness to be the strong head of our household and father to our Flowers.
Monday, 12 January: Today I'm grateful for my new shiny jewel-colored bracelet off the clearance rack at Macy's. Just looking at it makes me happy.

Wednesday, 14 January: Today I'm grateful for my iPod Shuffle. Though small, it has brought me many hours of musical satisfaction.
